Finally the sun decided to shine over the last couple of weeks and the course was in very good condition, with the greens the best they've been for a long time. With the trees now in full leaf it made the fairways look and feel very tight and narrow thus making it a tough test of skill.
The winner with a score of 44pts was Simon Tate beating Kevin Donohue 43pts into second place and Matt Lewis 40pts into third.
Prizes for nearest the pin on the par 3s went to Rob Rawlings 2nd/11th and 9th/18th, and Joe Francom 4th/13th,
Nearest the rope on the 8/17th was June Downes with Paul Ingram picking up the prize for spot marking the Captain's Drive.
The presentation was carried out by the Hon Sec John Sercombe and the Club Captain, Des Rees.
Thanks go to the Ladies in the shop for providing the snacks and drinks and their welcoming smiling faces, Clive and Ted for raking all the bunkers and placing the rope on the 8th. Thanks also to everyone that took part and those that helped arranged and manage the day so successfully.
